Trainee Zoo Keeper - Flamingo Land Zoo

Flamingo Land zoological department is looking for a trainee zoo keeper to join our team. Flamingo Land is one of the leading tourist attractions in the UK, attracting more than 1.4 million visitors each year. The zoo is in an exciting phase of development that has recently seen the creation of a number of themed zoogeographic areas and the development of the education and conservation departments. All of our zoo keepers are encouraged to participate in a range of activities which include research, environmental enrichment and education.
The successful candidate will have a higher qualification in animal management, or a degree in a biological subject and practical experience working with animals in a captive environment. Full training will be provided along with the opportunity to undertake the Advanced National Certificate in the Management of Zoo Animals in the future. The successful candidate will also be enthusiastic, reliable and a good team player.
