About Deep Sea World
Deep Sea World is looking to recruit for a Visitor Services
Supervisor to join its team for the 2015 season.
Deep Sea World is a popular aquarium
located in the village of North Queensferry, in Fife, Scotland. It is host to a
collection of large sand tiger sharks, also known as ragged toothed sharks or
grey nurse sharks, and various other species of shark.
About the Role
Reporting to the Curator &
Visitor Services Manager, you will play a key part in the leadership of this
attraction. You will be leading an
established team to provide the very best in guest service. Leading from the front, this highly visible role will
involve working with colleagues across the attraction to set the standard to
deliver and maintain the highest quality guest journey possible. This role needs a strong people manager to
ensure the team are motivated and pro-active in dealing with any guest
enquiries and feedback. There will also be an opportunity to deliver memorable
experiences for our key events such as Easter, Summer, Halloween and Christmas
About You
You are genuinely a people
person and enjoy the company of others. You have a positive attitude and able
to sustain a contagious enthusiasm. You have great listening skills and able to
find out what our customers enjoy. A
previous supervisory role in the leisure and tourism industry is desirable; the
successful candidate should also have the ability to develop themselves and
their team within this role.
You will have excellent
communication and organisational skills, excel in all areas of customer
service, enjoy challenging situations and able to create a positive and
innovative working atmosphere.
You will ideally have
experience of working to budgets, and preparing rota’s across multi sites.
The job involves working variable hours to include
weekends, bank holidays, evenings and school holiday periods.
