Animal Trainer Wanted!
The Wolf Science
Center (WSC), a scientific non-profit institution in Ernstbrunn, Austria, is
looking for an Animal Trainer Trainee (www.wolfscience.at).
The successful
candidate will, as part of a team, train dogs and wolves at the WSC, care for
the animals, conduct scientific experiments, support the administration with
animal-related issues and interact with WSC students and visitors.
Background and
experience in handling and training of animals, teamwork, and German and
English skills are a prerequisite. The applicant should bring communication
strength and commitment, interpersonal skills and flexibility. Preference is
given to applicants with a long term perspective, that are experienced with
hand-reared wolves and/or have a solid background in theory and practice of
animal training. The successful applicant first passes through a one-month
trial period, followed by at least six months training on the job, with the
possibility of subsequent employment as a Trainer at the WSC.

Payment is made by
collective agreement and is during the training period by agreement and after
the training period about 1,700 € gross.
