EXPERIENCED INVERTEBRATE KEEPER (MATERNITY LEAVE COVER) - BRISTOL ZOO GARDENS
There is a vacancy for an experienced keeper to cover maternity leave The successful applicant will have at least three years experience of working with zoo animals. Knowledge of invertebrate and tropical plant husbandry would be an advantage as this position will be involved primarily with the Bug World and Butterfly Forest exhibits. However, having some additional knowledge of either fish or reptile husbandry would also be helpful.
The successful applicant will be educated to at least GCSE level, including English and a biological science and preferably hold the City & Guilds Certificate in Zoo Animal Management (or equivalent). Having a general knowledge of the conservation and educational roles of zoos is also desirable.
