Cleland Wildlife Park is developing a strategic master plan and this
position is a great opportunity for the successful applicant to lead and
influence the direction of the keeping department into the future. Located
in the beautiful Adelaide Hills of South Australia, Cleland Wildlife Park is
surrounded by the 1,000 hectares of Cleland Conservation Park, and the
surrounding areas offer great beaches, rolling hills, historic townships and
only a short trip from mallee and outback regions.
We currently require a Senior Keeper to assist with the captive husbandry of
a diverse collection of native wildlife, breeding and research programs and
the provision of educational wildlife presentations. Ideally you will have
proven experience in staff management and well developed wildlife training
skills.
The Senior Animal Keeper, Cleland Wildlife Park is accountable to the
Curator of Wildlife for assisting in the development and coordination of the
Park’s major wildlife displays and endangered species breeding programs and
their contribution to the enhancement of visitor activities and education
programs.
