EXPERIENCED KEEPER/MAMMAL OVERSEER (MATERNITY LEAVE COVER) - BRISTOL ZOO GARDENS
There is a vacancy for an experienced keeper to cover maternity leave on a mammal section involving a variety of species. This is a supervisory position reporting to the Head of the Mammal Section.
The successful applicant will be an experienced mammal keeper and will have at least five years experience of working with zoo animals. Having some practical knowledge of the husbandry of primates or hoofed mammals will be an advantage.
The successful applicant will be educated to at least GCSE level, including English and a biological science and hold the City & Guilds Certificate in Zoo Animal Management (or equivalent). The ability to supervise staff and having a general knowledge of the conservation and educational roles of zoos is also desirable.
