Casual Keepers - Taronga Western Plains Zoo
An exciting opportunity exists for committed and motivated individuals with a strong work ethic, and sound animal management knowledge and experience to join our Life Sciences team at Taronga Western Plains Zoo (TWPZ).
Embracing all aspects of the Life Sciences division, the successful applicants will possess:
• Qualifications in Zoo Keeping (or related disciplines) or enrolled in Certificate III in Captive Animals.
• Knowledge and experience in captive animal husbandry.
• Experience with animal training and conditioning techniques with either large ungulates, carnivores or primates.
• Possess a working knowledge of the biology and behaviour of a diverse range of species and their conservation needs.
• Demonstrated customer service and team work ethos.
• Demonstrated presentation and communication skills
• Hold a current manual NSW Class C Drivers Licence.
