Marine Mammal Trainer

Group consists of animal care specialists, animal trainers, veterinarians,
design specialists, project managers and operational staff.
zoOceanarium Group is continuing
to expand their team and looking to recruit a talented Marine Mammal Trainer for an exciting facility in the United Arab
Emirates. As the Marine Mammal Trainer, you will assist the team with daily
operations and will be involved in training various species of animals,
including marine mammals and birds. Prior experience in animal training is a requirement.
Duties:
•
Prepare animal diets
•
General cleaning duties
•
Train and maintain animal behaviors using positive reinforcement
•
Provide environmental enrichment
•
Observe animal behaviors and maintain
records
•
Ensure animal welfare, training techniques and handling guidelines are
as per our company

Position Requirements:
•
3 years’ experience in training marine mammals is essential
•
Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
•
Good organizational and communication
skills
•
Must be physically fit and must be able to swim
•
Must be able to work in a dynamic multi-cultural team
•
Willing to work shifts (early mornings and late nights)
