WHO ARE WE?
Amersfoort Animal Park is the zoo for children. Enthusiastic
people work in our park who all have the same animal park DNA: Passionate,
Challenging, Playful, Teamwork and Caring (BUSSZ). This DNA is used every day
to give visitors a great day among the animals.
We are looking for an animal caretaker for our animal
groups. You are someone who goes to work with a great love for animals and
inexhaustible work energy.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
The animals you will be taking care of, and therefore the
department where you will be working, is not yet known at this time. The number
of hours you will be working is also not yet clear, but is in any case at or
above 32 hours per week. Your activities as a zookeeper include:
You and your colleagues ensure optimal wellbeing for our
animals. This means that you take care of the animals, feed them, observe them
and identify any health problems.
You tell our visitors enthusiastic stories about our special
animals, for example in the form of a feed chat or when visitors have a
question.
You prepare the food for all animals.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You breathe the Animal Park DNA: Passionate, Challenging,
Playful, Teamwork and Caring (BUSSZ).
You have completed at least an MBO 3 Animal Care training
and relevant work experience in another zoo.
You are representative and you enjoy telling our visitors
about the animals you care for
As befits taking care of animals, you have an eye for detail
You find it natural to work weekends, holidays and evenings.
If you come to work in the zoo, we will ask you for a
Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG).
