Veterinary Nurse – Rhinos

1. Registered with the South African Veterinary Council (or be able to register with the SAVC if from overseas)
2. Minimum language requirement: English. Preferably be able to speak a second language such as Afrikaans or Sotho or Tswana.
3. Code 8. Preferably Code 10.
4. No dependents. If dependents own accommodation must be sought.
5. Non-smokers only.
6. Be proficient in Office 365 and be computer literate in general.
7. Be well organized and able to manage administrative duties, accounting and invoicing, calendar management for senior staff, liaise with sponsors, clients, and volunteers. Good people skills an absolute must.
8. Be able to do crisis management. Must be able to think on your feet and work without supervision.
9. Must be prepared to do training of interns.
10. Be prepared to work unexpected hours and sometimes travel long distances.
11. Must be prepared to do hard, physical labour at times.
12. Do a personality/psychometric test online as prescribed.

Extras plus points:
Be able to do farm work and solve farm related problems, or must be prepared to learn, as well as being open to tasks as they are needed e.g., cleaning the hospital

Offer:
Remuneration according to experience.
Housing available if single.
Need own private transport. Work vehicle available for work related functions.
