37.5 hours per week working 5 days from 7 to include weekends and bank holidays

£24,044 per annum

 

 

WWT Slimbridge is seeking an enthusiastic and engaging supervisor to help support our Aviculture team as we make a huge step forward. We are seeking an experienced candidate who can help connect the team, embrace change and play an active role in the delivery of our new collection plan. 

 

Home to the 6 species of flamingo, one of the largest native species aviaries in the UK and a multitude of wonderful wildfowl, the successful candidate will be joining us at a very exciting time. You will supervise the Living Collection Team to a high standard, meeting the Zoo License requirements as set by the Secretary of State's Standards of Modern Zoo Practice. You will lead on maintaining the breeding centre and support areas to provide sustainable populations that contribute towards our ambitions.  

 

The successful candidate will have a wide range of experience in a variety of taxa, experience of supervising a high performing team, a drive to learn, communicate and succeed. You will have extensive knowledge of incubation and rearing skills and a solid grounding in animal behaviour. A driving license is essential.
