Reclaiming Reds Trainee

Reclaiming Reds Trainee

We are recruiting for a Traineeship to join our Reclaiming Red Squirrels project on a fixed term basis.

Our mission at the Knowsley Safari Foundation is to have a long-term positive impact on our environment and communities by integrating people and nature. The project “Reclaiming Reds”, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund, is designed to connect the local community to our natural heritage as part of a wider conservation project aiming to see Red Squirrels (Sciurus vulgaris) return to the Knowsley Estate and the surrounding areas within Merseyside. The successful candidate for this work placement will have the opportunity to aid in raising awareness to the importance of red squirrel conservation giving the community an opportunity to reconnect with their natural heritage.
