Animal Keeper

An exciting opportunity has arisen in the land based department of Barnsley College. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual that will not only care for our animals to the highest welfare standards but also engage with the students and members of the public.

The role is primarily based working with our expanding range of animals, but will also include estate maintenance, tractor driving, transporting animals, teacher support, keeper talks and parties. A full, clean driving licence is essential as tractor driving and transporting animals is a key part of the role.

Reporting to the farm team leader you will work alongside the other team members to ensure students get the skills they need to progress into industry or higher education and the ensure the public receive  the best possible experience they can.

The closing date for this vacancy is Friday 3 November at 12 noon.
 Interviews to be held on 11 November.
