Experienced Zoo Keeper - Flamingo Land Zoo

Flamingo Land zoological department is looking for an experienced zoo keepert to join our team.

Flamingo Land is one of the leading tourist attractions in the UK, attracting more than 1.4 million visitors each year. The zoo is in an exciting phase of development that has recently seen the creation of a number of themed zoogeographic areas and the development of the education and conservation departments.

The successful candidate will be working primarily within the African Plains area, which houses two breeding groups of giraffe, scimitar horned oryx, hippopotamus, zebras, ostrich and white rhinoceros.

All of our zoo keepers are encouraged to participate in a range of activities, which include research, environmental enrichment and education.You will have at least three years experience working in a zoological collection and have passed the Advanced National Certificate in the Management of Zoo Animals. Experience with hoof stock would be an advantage, but you will receive direct training in the husbandry of these species. You will also be enthusiastic, reliable and a good team player.
