SEASONAL HORTICULTURIST
Seasonal – Full Time – 8 months

We currently have an exciting vacancy for a Seasonal Horticulturist to join our Gardens team.
This is the team that manages the landscape within the Zoo itself and the environment within some of our tropical houses. The team achieves an excellent standard of horticulture, essential for this world-class visitor attraction. 

The Gardens Team is part of the wider Horticulture and Botany division which manages all of the zoo’s horticultural features, gardens and greenhouses in our 125 acre site, including 5 National Plant Collections and a Nature Reserve. We aim to create the greatest possible conservation impact for plants as well as animals.

Successful candidates will:
•        Have proven experience within a horticultural role
•        Have an understanding of maintaining plants, general horticultural tasks, and some experience of using horticultural equipment and machinery
•        Be hardworking, reliable and work well in a team

A full driving licence valid in the UK is essential.

Hours of work will be 40 hours per week on a roster of 5 days out of 7.
