Wildlife and Dinosaur Park is an award winning visitor attraction set amidst a
beautiful natural valley in North Devon.
An opportunity has
arisen within our sea lion department. The successful candidate will join the
team responsible for the care of our California sea lions and our African
penguins.
CMWDP sea lion
section has two daily sea lion displays and also offers interactive guests
experiences; sea lion meet and greets and a swim with the sea lion experience,
unique in the UK.
Candidates should
have an animal related qualification. Experience with sea lions and operant
conditioning is desirable. The successful applicant will be hard working, a
good team player who is also confident working under their own initiative. They
will also have excellent public speaking skills and be confident delivering
educational talks to visitors. Good communication skills and an excellent
customer service ethic is vital. Being situated in a valley, applicants should
be physically fit. A full clean UK
driving licence is advantageous due to our location.
This position is 40
hours/week including weekends, bank holidays and some evenings.
