LOCATION: NR FOWEY, CORNWALL
HOURS: FULL TIME (AVERAGING 45 HOURS
PER WEEK, WILL INCLUDE SOME WEEKENDS AND BANK HOLIDAYS AS NEEDED)
SALARY: £19 - 24,000 DEPENDING ON
EXPERIENCE, 28 DAYS HOLIDAY (INCL BANK HOLIDAYS)
About the Role
Feral WAP is a Small, Private
Conservation and Breeding Centre based in a secluded
setting in Cornwall in the U.K.
It is not open to the general public but open for tours and other events on a booking basis at certain times of the year.
The facility houses an important collection of animals and you will be working alongside a variety of species including Sun Bear, Spotted & Brown Hyena, Malagasy Carnivores and various
Mustelids, Primates including Bearded
Saki, Lemurs and some Callitrichids and Various Bird species.
We are looking for an Animal Keeper who is self motivated, dedicated and not afraid of hard work. You will often need to work alone or as part of a small team.
Experience:
We are looking for someone with the
following:
* A minimum of 1 year previous
experience working with similar species.
* Good interpersonal communication
skills.
* Obvious passion, interest and
dedication to this field of work.
* Positive and cooperative attitude to
work and management.
*
The job requires a good standard of physical fitness.
* An Interest in horticulture a bonus,
also is an ability
to do basic repairs or maintenance.
* High cleanliness standards and
organisation skills essential.
* Full Drivers Licence required.
