Salary: £20,000 per

About the Role
The responsibilities
of the Displays Supervisor will be varied, challenging, but extremely
rewarding. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the
Zoological Team to ensure the team achieve the highest standard of animal care
and husbandry.
You will be
responsible for maintaining and developing displays and exhibits - promoting
public education and awareness in relation to conservation of biodiversity and
delivering a memorable and entertaining experience to our guests. The role will
also entail hands-on work within the Aquarium’s exhibits in addition to
supervisory duties.
As a key part of our
aquarium management team you will be required to carry out some duty
management. This post is full time, with weekend shifts allocated on a rota
basis.
This is full time
post working 5 days over 7 and includes regular weekends and bank holidays.
About You
Already an
experienced Aquarist with knowledge of both marine and freshwater systems you
will have infectious enthusiasm for creating stunning and innovative displays
and keen to share knowledge with your team and guests.
A degree or
equivalent in a relevant biological science is advantageous, but previous
relevant experience in the visitor attractions sector is essential.
