Due to the
continuing popularity & growth of our zoo management programmes, we are
seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team of teaching
staff who are genuinely passionate about their subject and about supporting
every student to reach their full potential. The successful candidate should
expect to deliver across a range of animal science subjects, but we would be
particularly interested in applicants with experience of the zoo industry.
The successful
candidate will hold a higher degree (minimum of Level 7) in biological sciences
or related discipline, and ideally have prior teaching experience within the
Higher Education sector. In addition, they will have completed, or be working
towards completing, a nationally recognised teaching qualification and
accreditation with the Higher Education Academy. Formal training will be
provided to any successful candidate that does not possess a teaching
qualification. The role will include the administration for your modules and
delivery of formal lectures, practicals, tutorials and seminars, in addition to
undertaking final year honours project supervision. You will also be required
to implement quality assurance processes and develop new curriculum content
that keeps us at the forefront of this evolving discipline.
