Wagga Wagga City
Council is looking to establish a pool of casual staff members suitable to
relieve at the Wagga Wagga Botanic Gardens Zoo on an as needs basis.
Opportunities to relieve in the role may vary depending on staff availability
and council's requirements.
This hands on role
will see you:
Undertake relief zoo
curator duties including care of animals; maintenance, construction and
cleaning of enclosures, yards and paths; development and implementation of
maintenance schedules; and maintenance of registers;
Maintenance of
gardens and lawns and other associated gardening activities within the zoo to
ensure a high standard of presentation;
Work collaboratively
with fellow team members to coordinate the activities of Council's zoo and
ensure legislative compliance.
To be successful you
must have qualifications relevant to the role, a caring nature, be a team
player, physically fit and have good communication and time management skills.
Interviews for this
position will be held in the week commencing Monday, 6 June 2016.
Remuneration: $34.06
per hour + super
