A rare and exciting
new opportunity has arisen for a Head of Plants & Animal Management to join
the leadership team here at Marwell Wildlife. Working closely with the Director
of Conservation you will be responsible for enhancing the biological, scientific
and education value of Marwell’s animal and plant collection, ensuring the
continued improvement of animal and plant care.
The Head of Plants
& Animal Management will be a pivotal role in an exciting time here at
Marwell as we embark on an inspiring programme of capital investment,
incorporating a series of major exhibits in accordance with our master plan.
The successful
candidate will use their nurturing character to develop, support and inspire
our teams of animal management and horticultural professionals. You will have a
post graduate qualification or equivalent in biological or a related scientific
discipline and a comprehensive understanding of factors affecting the
sustainable management of animal and plant collections. A proven track record
in the empathetic management of multifaceted teams, alongside the ability to
apply consistent and sound value judgments, is essential.
