37.5 hours per week 5 days from 7

£18,745 per annum

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate person to join our small team as a Living Collections Keeper. You will assist with the day to day maintenance of the grounds area and the detailed management of the living collection population. This will include feeding, counting, monitoring animal behaviour and pest management and assisting with the delivery of general maintenance duties, such as hedge cutting, strimming, pruning and participating in daily cleaning within all exhibit areas, as well as ensuring compliance with the Zoo Licence Act 1981 and regular updating of the ZIMS software programme.  

Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent (A-C including Maths & English), you will have proven experience of working in a similar role/environment and be able to interact effectively with visitors, as a key part of the role will be to engage and inspire our visitors through general day to day contact around the grounds. A current driving license is also essential for this role.
