South Staffordshire College are looking to appoint a Team
Leader/Supervisor for it’s successful onsite Animal Centre.
The primary purpose of the Team Leader/Supervisor is to support the Animal Centre Manager and Deputy Animal
Centre Manager in the day to day operations of the Animal Centre.
Duties
include assisting in the supervision, motivation and development of staff and
volunteers to address learning and development needs and promote a positive
working environment, educating the public through talks and demonstrations
about our animals, monitoring health issues and liaise with Vets and overseeing
the Animal Centre Enrichment programme.
You
will be an excellent record keeper and have a minimum of 3 years experience in
a mainstream zoo collection with previous supervisory experience. You will also have experience of a variety of
animal species and a higher level qualification in a related animal management
subject or equivalent vocational experience.
We
are looking for someone with a strong passion for conservation and education,
with a positive and can-do attitude.
