37.5 Hours per week

£18,525 - £19,500 per annum


WWT Arundel Wetland Centre is looking for a Senior Keeper to assist with the development and implementation of its Animal Collection Plan. You will be a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Aviculturalist with experience of maintaining animal populations in enclosures and in assisting with design and management of enclosures for the benefit of the animals and for the viewing public. You will have a flexible approach to your role as during the breeding season you will may need to hand rear our new arrivals.

You will be confident in talking to the public, raising awareness in relation to the conservation of biodiversity and by providing information to visitors about the species exhibited and their natural habitats is a key element of this role. You will also ideally have experience of supervising a small team and volunteers as you will be deputising for the Collection Manager on their days off.
