Keeper/Herpetologist
We are currently
recruiting for a Keeper/Herpetologist to work in a team of 2 with an aquarist
to run our rainforest zone at SEA LIFE London.
The successful
candidate will be expected to drive the development and continued improvement
if the terrestrial part of the exhibits and form a close team with the aquarist
working on the aquatic side. Training will be providing in aquarium husbandry
as well as part of extensive SEA LIFE training.
The rain forest
exhibition includes a mixture of terrestrial species including crocodiles,
spiders, snakes, assasin bugs, cockroaches, beetles and leafcutter ants
alongside more aquarium fair like Piranha and Arowana. We are looking for
someone to introduce new species and ideas to this area as well as drive the
breeding/research and conservation of those species in the off show areas.
Depending on the
experience of the success candidate for the role will recruited from
assistant/trainee up to senior aquarist/keeper.
