through our 140 acre zoological park, Marwell Zoo, with its wide array of
exotic and endangered species and the family of talented people we employ who

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Animal Keeper
to join our Hoofstock team on a full time basis. For the right candidate, this post offers a fantastic opportunity to
work with a wide range of Hoofstock species from Dorcas Gazelle to White Rhino and
contribute to captive breeding programmes with species such as Okapi, Grevys
Zebra, Somali Wild Ass and Rothschild Giraffe.
Animal Keepers are
responsible for carrying out all aspects of animal care, including husbandry
routines, managerial operations and environmental enrichment, and supporting
veterinary intervention as required.
The successful candidate will have a background in the
keeping of a variety of Hoofstock species. You will be able to work well as part of a team, have the ability to use
your initiative, display an interest in and commitment to animal welfare
and conservation, and must possess strong communication skills.
