The Vingroup in Vietnam is now seeking people for the positions of zoo project director, deputy director, and head curator.

Job Description :

Project development

• Assisting Zoo Director in planning the project development.
• Be responsible for zoology, horticulture, mentoring and managing heads of departments.
• Establishing a working schedule, managing and supervising all aspects related to zoology and horticulture.
• Planning and supervising the animal acquisition schedule, as well as the quality and status of consultants/contractors acting as supplier for animals and trees.
• Planning and supervising education & training programs.
• Establishing recruitment plan and training plan for the personnel of sub-divisions.
• Handling related problems.

Operation and management

• Planning and supervising the operation of Zoological & Horticulture divisions and Education Centre: Manage, protect and nurture the animal and trees collection, and training programs.
• Managing and supervising Veterinary and Enclosures.
• Managing and supervising Feeding & Husbandry plan.  
• Planning and supervising the composing, implementing and monitoring of protocols, guidelines and legislations related to sub-divisions.

Requirements:

• Have a Bachelor's degree in an Animal-related field (Veterinary), great expertise in Wild Life. Preferably a higher education graduate.
• Have at least 5 years' experience in the same position.
• Possess thorough knowledge about law and legislations on food safety control and biological hygiene in husbandry.
• Possess strong skills in managing and organizing.
• Be fluent in English.
•  Be Vietnamese natives or expatriates.

Job Description:

 Project development:

• Establishing a plan of developing a Zoo & Safari project, which is expected to open in 2 years' time.
• Cooperating with R&D department of Vingroup in selecting & evaluating consultants/contractors for the project.
• Supervising and discussing with consultants/contractor on the deliverables.
• Establishing working schedule, managing and supervising the project team.
• Coordinating consultants/contractors with related divisions in the company and with other departments of the entire project.
• Developing an organization structure; establishing the project's board of management and operation.
• Cooperating with the consultants in planning and controlling expenses.
• Handling all related problems. 

Operation and management:

• Be responsible for the operation of the zoo.
• Managing and supervising deputy directors.
• Be in charge of managing, supervising and developing zoo personnel.
• Be in charge of the zoo's business performance.
• Assure to comply with all policies, protocols and guidelines on construction status; and other legislations.
• Develop and maintain all relationships with local authority, domestic & international organizations and other zoos

Requirements

• Have experience in the same position before.
• Have connections with zoological experts and related specialists.
• Have a Bachelor's degree in Zoology, Veterinary or equivalent (preferably applicants with higher education in Wild life related majors).
• Possess strong skills in coordinating, managing and solving problems.
• Be fluent in English.
• Be Vietnamese natives or expatriates.

Head Curator

Head Curator

The Vingroup in Vietnam is now seeking people for the positions of zoo project director and head curator.

Job Description:

• Involving with acquisition of specimens for the Safari's animal collection.
• Overseeing all aspect of animal management include animal welfare and husbandry.
• Planning and supervising the animal adoptions, husbandry and treatments before the Opening.
• Leading others in the research and development of new exhibits and renovations.
• Consulting with experts to supervising enclosure conditions, making sure enclosures fulfil the needs of the animal and the demands of the visitor to the Zoo.
• Ensuring quality veterinary care for animals.

Animal Nutrition.

• Make sure quarantine procedures are applied rigorously.
• Considering cost and creating economically-viable food for animals.
• Assisting Deputy Director in planning and supervising the animal acquisition schedule, as well as the quality and status of consultants/contractors acting as supplier for animals and trees.
• Planning for the hiring, training and scheduling of zoo employees.
• Getting the latest information about animals from around the world.
• Planning and supervising the multiplication and conservation of animals, cooperate with other institutions do other scientific research.
• Ensuring a safe and secure environment, for animals and public

Requirements:

• Have a Bachelor's Degree in an Animal-related field (Veterinary), great expertise in Wild Life. Preferably a higher education graduate.
